WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .

We are thankful for Sandy Hoover’s service as secretary for the past 3 months.  Due to her returning to Alaska for an unspecified time period, we are seeking a replacement for her.  Rhonda Mease will be doing the necessary secretarial work for the summer.  All resumes, both inside and outside our church, will be considered.  Anyone interested, or if you know someone who would be interested, please submit a resume and cover letter to Carol Schrock, 434 Danvers Court, Orrville, OH 44667, or Darrell Smucker, 1497 Morgan, Wooster, OH 44691.

Church Family Fun Night – It’s time again to gather at the Steiner home for summer fun and fellowship.  This is a great opportunity to bring your friends and neighbors whom you’ve wanted to invite to church. It’s Fishing Derby Night, along with other activities.  June 23, arrive between 5 & 5:3 pm. Supper will be at 5:30.  Sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the West hallway.

MCC WaterWorks (Penny Power)… Let’s begin today to bring our spare change for MCC’s clean water project.  Last year the Penny Power Project for the Ohio sale brought in $61,333. plus a match of $35,000. This amounts to ¼ - 1/3 of total receipts of the sale!  Last year SMC gave $740.16.

Behalt or Be Square! Come with the adult membership class on a field trip to Holmes County. We will visit Behalt, the incredible pictorama of Christian history and enjoy a snack at Heini’s, the wonderful cheese-o-rama, all in one morning!  Meet at Bishops, at the corner of routes 57 and 30 at 10 a.m. on June 29.  The cost is $7, and all are welcome.  See Todd if you’d like more information.

Walk Across the Room-Again!  Many people have asked if there is any way to make up sessions they missed – the answer is YES!  I will happily loan out the DVD and a study guide on a first-come, first-serve basis.  It is also designed for small groups to study, so tell your group leaders.  Thanks again for the strong response to this material, and keep walking across the room. -Todd

Central Christian School has an opening for strings instructional leadership and orchestra director.  Contact Henry Beun at hbeaun@ccscomets, or 330-857-7311.
