WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .

 

We Rejoice with Jeanine and Chris Pachis in the birth of their son, Landon Michael. He was born Friday, June 29. Congratulations Jeanine and Chris, and to grandparents, Jan and Joanne Kauffman, Paul and Ruth Kauffman, and Mary Amstutz.

 

Pastor Todd would like to have a brief meeting with those interested in going to Mongolia next summer.  Please gather in the social hall immediately following the morning worship service next Sunday.

 

Bible School begins in two weeks! (July 23 – 27) There are registration forms for children in your mailboxes today. We would like these back by July 15.  Along with the forms are cards for each child to use to invite a friend to VBS. Those who return a registration form from a friend will receive a prize. 

 

VBS Staff, remember to mark your calendar for the staff training meeting on Thursday evening at 7:00 at the church.

 

Friendship Circle sign-up will continue today. The ladies will be car-pooling to Berlin Flea Market on Saturday, July 14. If you would like to go, sign up today, or call Alta Rohrer or Louise Hershberger by Thursday of this week.

 

Robert Miller moved to Walnut Hills Nursing Home on Monday.  His new address is Walnut Hills Nursing Home, PO Box 127 Room 301, Walnut Creek, OH  44687.

 

 

Relief Sale, Coming UpAugust 3 & 4.  One of the features at the sale is the “Quilt Corner.”  If you have unfinished projects, projects for which you have materials and never got started, or leftover fabrics, bring them to MCC Connections and designate them for the Quilt Corner.  These items sell very well.

 

Smithville Western Commons and Horn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center are sponsoring a Community Appreciation Day.  Lunch is free, and the event will be held at Wooster Community Center, Tuesday, July 10, from 11:00 am, to 12:30 pm.  For more information contact Wooster Community Center at 330 263-5207
