WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .

 

Carol Schrock wishes to announce that she is engaged to be married to William (Bill) Ropp from Watkinsville, Georgia (a suburb of Athens, GA).  Their plans are to be married in June of 2008.

 

The Smucker family is extending an invitation for you to join them in celebrating Ralph and Lila’s 50th wedding anniversary.  There will be an open house here at the church, August 18, from 4 to 7 p.m.

 

We are so grateful to God for healing Miranda from her illness several weeks ago.  We thank you too, our church family, for your prayers and cards. –The John Wenger Family

 

Please remember to sign up for the Teacher’s Appreciation Meal which will be held this Wednesday, August 15.  It’s important that you sign up today.

 

Parenting Discipleship class offered again . . Classes will begin September 10. Please pray about whether God would have you attend.

 

Veggie Tales is here again just in time for SCHOOL!  Come join us on Saturday, August 25 at Smithville Mennonite Church to see a four story Veggie Collection:  God Made You Special!  Four different videos will help kids learn that they are special just the way God made them.  Let’s celebrate the beginning of a new school year with Bob & Larry!  The show will begin at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments following.

 

VBS 2007 DVDs are still available for a $3 donation. Sign up on the bulletin board by the secretary’s office.
