WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .
The elective class will be studying the book Get Out of that Pit,
by Beth Moore. This women’s class meets
in the library. See Velma Shetler if you
would like to join or need to purchase a book.
We extend our sympathy to Harold and June Steiner. June’s mother, Emma Lehman, passed away this
past Wednesday.
We are grateful for your prayers and support of the Hummel family through
this very difficult time. Four-year old Bryson, son of Beau and Nicole Hummel, lost
his leg in a lawn mower accident. You
can visit brysonhummel.com. to find an update on Bryson and to write a note of
encouragement to Bryson and his family.
There will be an informational
meeting this
Thursday evening for the Growing Kid’s God’s Way class, which is being offered
again this year in the home of Eric and Roxie Ramseyer. This class is a great resource for parents that provides vehicles to apply Biblical principles
in raising our kids. It also greatly challenges
us to be the living examples Christ wants us to
be. Please pray if God would have you
join us. If you have questions, please
call 330 857-2678. Classes begin September 10.
Ruth Reifsnyder would like you to know that she is
available several hours a week for housecleaning jobs or home care. If you would like to have help in this way,
or know of anyone who is looking for a cleaning person or a
adult care provider, please contact Ruth at 330 684-6093.
Camp Luz Father-Son Retreat, is being held September 14-15, for
ages 8 and up. This overnight retreat
will be in their new Outpost Campsite and the men and boys will be “roughing
it”! Sleeping in
tents, cooking their own food, using the ropes course, building relationships
and worshipping God in the great out-of-doors. Cost is $70 for age 11 and up,
and $35 for ages 8-10. Camp Luz Staff will lead this adventure! Call
330-683-1246 for more information.
