WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .

There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board by the secretary’s office for those going to the Mongolia Banquet in Walnut Creek, this Saturday evening. The banquet is free, but a free-will offering will be received.  Dean Heisey, from Mennonite Mission Network will be the speaker. Please sign up today if you are going to this banquet.

 

In two weeks, Sunday, September 30, The Covenant Players will lead our worship service. We will be having a carry-in noon lunch.

 

The hospitality committee is looking for two or three people to host the Covenant Players Saturday night and Sunday morning, September 29 and 30.  This would include a Saturday evening meal, lodging and Sunday breakfast. If you are able to help by providing a meal and/or lodging, please contact Mabel Horst or Virginia Horner.

 

Richard and Elizabeth Ross will host a table of eight persons at the Haven of Rest Annual Wooster Banquet, at the Memories Party Center on Tuesday, October 2, 2007.  Age is limited to individuals 18 years of age and older.  Please let us know soon if you care about this ministry and wish to attend this banquet.

Your help is needed for our All-Church nights.  Sign up on the bulletin board if you could help by providing food or babysitting, or help with clean-up. Thank-you.

 

The annual meeting of the Ohio Friends of the Calvary Hour  free chicken BBQ dinner is Thursday night, October 11, at 6:00 p.m. in the Kidron Mennonite Church fellowship hall.  A flute ensemble will play, and Bill Detweiler will be the speaker. Tickets are available from Elvin Mast or Ella Rohrer.

·         Pastor Todd – pray that he would grow in his love and likeness of Jesus.

·         Mabel Hartman – pray that she would have peace and continued healing with many health issues.

·         Kathryn Stinson – pray for healing of cancer.

·         Pray for all new participants in Christian Service programs of Mennonite Mission Network who begin their assignments this fall. Pray for God’s grace as they settle into their new environments, interact with their communities and serve with their agencies.
