WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .

Thank you for your prayers for James Mullet. (Nephew of Ruth Brazis) God has been good, and James is recovering nicely from the injuries sustained in a four-wheeler accident in July.

Our Mongolia 08 team has formed! Nate Mast, Todd Martin, Pat Mease, Brandon Rutt, Steve Schlabach, Dave Smucker, Harold Steiner and John Wenger have made the commitment to travel to Mongolia in July. Please continue to pray for these men as they make arrangements and raise the finances needed for this trip.

MCC has a new Web site for kids!  Hello Online gives children the chance to learn about other countries and cultures through multimedia stories and interactive games.  It now features Colombia and Ukraine.  Follow this link to explore Hello Online: MCC.org/hello

Camp Luz Bridge Dedication!  Sunday, October 21, 2007 1:30 PM.  Everyone is invited to the dedication of the new bridge named “The Crossing.”  Following the dedication all are invited to refreshments in the Dining Hall and the Ohio Mennonite Camp Association Annual Meeting at 2:00. Come hear what God is doing in the camp ministry!

The annual meeting of the Ohio Friends of the Calvary hour free chicken dinner is Thursday night, October 11, at 6:00 p.m. in the Kidron Mennonite Church fellowship hall.  If you haven’t already received tickets, you can pick them up from Ella Rohrer or Elvin Mast.

MCC is celebrating 60 years of mobile meat canning. The date and  location of relief canning is October 15 – 18, at the Gerber Building behind Central Christian School in Kidron. Volunteers are needed for many different positions. Volunteers can work a day or two, or 2-4 hours a day. See the flyer in your mailbox and the poster on the board by the secretary’s office.
