WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .

We extend our sympathy to Dave and Chris Miller and their extended family in the passing of her father, Guy Langley.

 

There will be no Bible Memory after church this morning.

 

Please change the date of coordinating council on your SMC calendar to Thursday, October 18, at 7 p.m.

 

Venture Club and Sponsors will be attending Junior Jam…an area wide event for 3rd - 6th graders at Cedarville University this Saturday, October 13.  We will leave the church at 6:30 a.m., and return around 7:30 p.m.

 

Veggie Tales...Don’t miss “the Wonderful Wizard of Ha’s” here at SMC, Sunday evening, October 21 at 6:30 p.m.  Come hear again of God’s love for us through the story of the Prodigal Son.  Refreshments will follow the show.

 

The Annual Life Chain aimed at stopping abortion will be held this afternoon from 2:30 to 3:30.  If you wish to participate, go to the east sidewalk near the WalMart/Tumbleweed area’s of Route 83 north of Wooster.  Approved signs will be given out and participants stand in silent prayer and meditation for one hour.

 

This Wednesday, October 10, at 7 pm, the Wednesday Evening Planning Committee will meet at the church.  If you are a part of that committee, be sure to attend.

 

Scrapbooking this Friday, October 12, 6-9 p.m.in the Church social room.  Bring your friends and your projects.  Also, we’ll scrapbook again November 2, from 6-9 p.m. here at the church.  Hope to see you here!

 

 

Central Christian School will be hosting its fall Fish Fry on Friday, October 26, from 4:30-7:30 p.m.  Tickets cost $7 for adult meals, and $4.50 or children ages 6-12.  Children 5 and under eat free!  Contact Ryan Steiner or call Central for more details.

 

Don’t miss Central Christian’s first presentation of this year’s students’ musical talents.  The annual Prelude and Dessert concert will take place Friday, October 19, at 7:00 p.m.  This concert will feature a variety of instrumental and vocal performances, followed by a time of fellowship and delicious desserts.
