WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .

 

Be sure to attend our annual business meeting here at the church this Wednesday evening. Remember to bring the annual reports that were in your mailboxes last Sunday.

 

There will be a noon meal prepared by Alta Rohrer and Lila Smucker, here at the church, November 11, to raise money to support our Mongolia missionaries. The menu includes ham loaf, potatoes, peas, salad, rolls and pie. Please mark this date on your calendars.

 

The Open Circle Eat-out will this Tuesday, October 23 at 12 noon, at The Barn Restaurant.  Mahlon and Beulah Zuercher will host.

Another bike hike has been planned for next Saturday, October 27.  Meet at Dalton Park at 10:00 a.m.  The total distance is approximately 52 miles

 

Save the Date!  Herb and Kevin Himes will be leading an evening of worship through piano/organ music and hymn singing on Sunday, November 18, at 7 p.m., at the Salem Mennonite Church in Kidron.  Come gather as a community and worship the Lord together!

 

John Schmid, founder and director of Common Ground Ministries, will be performing at a benefit concert for Sunshine Children’s Home and MCC. The concert will take place on Sunday, October 28, at 6:30 p.m., at Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon. A freewill offering will be taken. Dr. Bishara Awad will be speaking in our area next weekend. Saturday evening at 6:30, he will speak at Behalt, and Sunday evening at 6 p.m. he will be at Central Christian Schools. Dr. Bishara is a native of Palestine, and the president of Bethlehem Bible College.  Christianity Today has called him the leading evangelical voice of the Middle East.  All are welcome to attend these services.

 

Pastor Bob Fetterhoff of the Wooster Grace Brethren Church is hosting a 13-day tour of the holy lands in March and April, 2008. Those who register by November 1 will receive a $100 discount of the cost of the trip.  For information call 330-264-9459.
