WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .

Please stay after church today for the Mongolia Missions Fund-raising meal. The menu is ham loaf, potatoes, green peas, salad, rolls and pie.  The money will go to support Mennonite Mission Network and the seven area church’s partnership with Mongolia missions.

The flowers today are given by Ella Rohrer in memory of Milton, who passed away on November 13, 2002.

Kimberlee Rohrer has moved to Denver, Colorado where she will be producing a TV program. Her new address is:

            2181 S. Trenton Way

            Bldg. 12, Apt. 308

            Denver, CO  80231

The MYF is having a “Bigger and Better” scavenger hunt on Wednesday night of this coming week. We will be stopping at different homes in search of something “bigger or better” than what we have already been given, to donate to the Salvation Army.  If you definitely want the group to stop at your house to pick up non-perishable foods, please contact Rebecca Martin.

LADIES:  Come to Buehler’s Cooking School, Wooster Milltown, this Friday evening, November 16, 6:30 p.m.  “Quick and Easy” but good enough for company by Rosalie Green.  Sign up today in west hallway.  Cost:  $10 (pay on Friday) if 20 or more attend; $14 (pay on Friday) if less than 20 attend.                                               Sponsored by Friendship Circle.

The Smithville area churches are joining together again for a combined Thanksgiving Service.  The service will be here at SMC next Sunday evening at 7 p.m.   The East Chippewa Vocal Band will be performing, and light refreshments will be served following our time of worship and thanksgiving.  Sign up on the bulletin board if you can bring cookies or snacks for the refreshment time.  Thanks!

MCC NEWS . . . MCC is shipping canned meat and relief supplies worth more than $180,000 to communities devastated by Hurricane Felix in Nicaragua.  Meat was packaged and sent from Kidron.  Two weeks after the earthquake in Peru, more meat was packaged and sent from Kidron and also from Middlefield.  MCC’s mobile meat canner will cover thousands of miles as it visits 13 U.S. states and two Canadian provinces between now and the end of April.
