WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC. ..
How has
God been with you this past year? Please write your stories and give them to
Pastor Todd by no later than January 3. These will be a part of our worship
service on January 6.
During
the Christmas Eve service, the children will be playing the bells. We are aware that a number of children will
not be available to play, so if you would like to help play the bells please
let Louise Hershberger or Jane Kalina know.
You will need to come a little early to the service to receive directions.
Thank
you for the birthday cards for Bob, and for the Christmas cards you’ve sent
us. –Bob and Mary Miller
Friends
and family of SMC, words are hard to find to express to you our depth of gratitude at the expressions of love and sympathy you
have offered this last 2 weeks. We have
often wondered how people make it through crisis without the love and support
of a church family. Our grief would have
been impossible to bear without you. We
especially want to thank Pastor Todd for the long hours and miles he put in, to
be with us, however they do not compare to the love and compassion he has
showed us during this time. Please
continue to pray for us, Elijah and Connie, Gary, and especially Danny as we
all adjust to life here without Greg. Thank-you. Rich & Velma Shetler.
Dave
& Chris Miller and Terry Hershberger have agreed to serve
as Jr. MYF Sponsors beginning in January and finishing the church year. They will replace Hank & Megan who are
undertaking a new responsibility as Mom & Dad. We thank Hank & Megan for their
participation with the Youth, and wish them well as their family increases.
Ladies!
Mark your calendars for January 19 – Friendship Circle. We will be having brunch at Velda Rohrer’s
house. Watch for more details to follow.
A baby boy,
Braden William Seeley, was born to Bill and Nicole Seeley on December 13. Braden weighed 8 pounds and eleven ounces.
Burt and Melanie Parks are the proud grandparents.
