WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .

There will be a meeting after church today for those going to Mongolia in June. Please attend.

This Wednesday at 6 pm is All Church Night. Come join in this evening of family, fun, fellowship, and faith. We have dubbed the evening a “Hat and Glove Occasion.” Wear your favorite hat and gloves…and come join the evening of fellowship.

David and Velda Rohrer will be in Sarasota, Florida until March 3. They will be monitoring their email and voice mail.

Wayne County Bible Quizzing team and individual standings and other information can be viewed on the web, at waynecobiblequizzing.com.

The second annual Taste of Central will be held on Friday, February 15, at 6:00.  This is a taste-testing extravaganza where 25 chefs will offer samples of a favorite dish for each participant to sample.  There will be main dishes, appetizers and desserts—you will not go home hungry!  After you sample the dishes, you may vote on your favorites by placing coins in a jar.  The chef who has the most money in their jar will be named “Taste of Central Chef of the Year.”  Are you interested in being a chef?  Contact Kristen Hilty at Central for more information.  Ticket costs are $15 for presale, and $20 at the door.

It’s time again to order the ever-popular singing Valentine from Central Christian School’s Varsity Singers!  For $20, you can send a song to your loved one at their place of work or home.  Numbers are limited so order yours soon.  Contact Tim Shue at Central 857-7311, ext. 220, tshue@ccscomets.org.  (Some orders may be denied due to distance, work situation, or time.)

BIBLE MEMORY will hold its 15th annual Benefit Auction at the Mt. Hope Sale Barn on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 5:30 pm. To donate items and for more information call Glenn Coblentz at home, 330-359-7181 or at the (Longenecker Mennonite) church, 330-359-5155 or email: rev@jbic.com .

OrrVilla Retirement Community has limited availability in both its Maple Terrace assisted living facility and Locust Court independent apartments.  Assisted living units are available in studio, one and two bedroom models.  Independent apartments have 2 bedrooms, 1 to 2 baths, attached garage and range from $83,900 to $116,900.  Come see why so many people love to call OrrVilla their home!  Call 330-683-4455 or stop by at 333 E. Sassafras St. for information.
