WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .

We extend our sympathy to the family of Paul Kauffman. Paul passed away Thursday morning, February 7.

 

Please plan to stay after the carry-in lunch today for an informational meeting with the pastoral relations committee regarding the pastoral contract renewal.

 

If you will not be present next Sunday for the pastoral contract renewal vote, please see Roxie Ramseyer today for an absentee ballot.

 

The delicious meals that were delivered to our house after Brock’s birth were such a treat. We wish to thank those who furnished the wonderful food, and Gen Rohrer for making the arrangements. –Hank & Megan Reifsnyder

 

This Wednesday evening, we are inviting the youth, their parents,and their mentors, to join us for a night designed for enhancing family relationships.  Rhoda Steiner will speak on “A Healthier Family Life. Rhoda is from Springhaven, Inc., (formerly Crown Center for Counseling).

 

SCRAPBOOKING!!  February 22 (Fri) 6 p.m.-9 p.m. in the church social room.  It’s time to gather again and work on our projects.  Come join the fun and fellowship while we learn from each other.  Bring friends!  Any questions, ask Kathy Gerber or Barb Steiner.

 

The Seeker’s Class Eat-out has been changed to Tuesday, February 26, at 6:30, at Das Dutch Kitchen.

 

In lieu of the regular Mongolia Support breakfast, the annual “Pastors cooking Breakfast” is scheduled for February 23, from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Berlin Mennonite Church. All donations for this “all you can eat” breakfast will go to support missions in Mongolia.

 

A children’s book, Friendship, by Sharon Roberts was left in the junior library recently.  However, it is not ours and librarians are not sure to which library it should be returned. If you know anything about this book, please contact one of the librarians.  Thanks!

 

Dr. Elton Lehman will share from his experiences with the Indonesian Tsunami at Martins Mennonite Church, Sunday evening, February 17, at

7:00 p.m.

 

The Mongolia team will be holding a sale here at the church April 26, during the Smithville Yard Sales. Please begin saving items to donate.
