Five lilies have been purchased this
year in memory of
loved ones who have experienced the resurrection of new life: Melba Myers (Linda Myers), Levi Yoder (Ella Yoder & family), Raymond Reifsnyder (Brock Reifsnyder), Clifford Mease (Dean & Rhonda
Mease), and Elvin & Melissa Horst
(Dean & Rhonda Mease). Three lilies
have also been purchased to honor special loved ones: Elizabeth Ross (Richard Ross), and Fiona Miller (Anita Tenney) and Pastors Todd & Rebecca Martin &
Family (anonymous).
The Discernment of Gifts Committee is pleased to announce that Lila
Smucker will serve the balance of this church year as Worship Commission
Chairperson.
An SMC coordinator/recruiter is needed to for the 2008 crop walk. The Crop Walk is scheduled for Sunday,
May 4. If you have interest in helping with this ministry, please see the
secretary.
How about some peace and quiet?
Do you ever get tired of all the noise at home and at work? If you do, next Sunday’s silent service here
at SMC is for you. At 8 p.m. this “come
and go”, self-directed hour of worship will involve reading scripture and
prayer, but mostly LISTENING for God’s voice, then responding. Come, be still and know that God still speaks
through silence—when we take the time to listen.
