WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SMC . . .

How about some peace and quiet?  Do you ever get tired of all the noise at home and at work?  If you do, tonight’s silent service is for you.  At 8 p.m. this come and go, self-directed hour of worship will involve reading scripture and prayer, but mostly listening for God’s voice and responding. Come to be still and know that God still speaks through silence when we listen.

Central Christian is hosting the Midwest region Mennonite Schools Council Orchestra Festival this weekend. Come enjoy a concert today at 3:00 p.m., featuring jazz ensembles, winds, strings and full orchestra arrangements.

Todd, Rebecca, Elliot, and Thaddeus Martin will be away March 31 through April 9. All pastoral care issues should be directed to the elders.

If any ladies could help with the meal this Wednesday evening, sign up on the bulletin board today or talk to Lila.

This Wednesday All Church night will be “Visitation Night”. Join us for the meal at 6 pm and sign up to go in small groups to visit those in our congregation who don’t get out as much as they used to.  These older folk have lots of great stories and wisdom to share.  You will be blessed as you give a blessing!

You are invited to the Common Ground Ministries 7th Annual Banquet, which will be held on Monday, April 7, at the Hartville Kitchen at 6:30 p.m. Admission and Dinner are free, but reservations are required, and a free will offering will be received for the ministry.  Call Esther Kurtzman at 330-477-3173 ASAP to reserve your seats.

Time is running out to renew or submit a new subscription to The Mennonite.  You will receive the 32-page The Mennonite twice per month.  If you are interested in joining our group plan—or to continue your subscription—please contact Rhonda before April 13.

Sonnenberg Mennonite Church will be hosting their annual Maple Syrup Missions Festival at Sonnenberg Mennonite Church (14367 Hackett Road, Kidron) on Saturday, April 12, 8-11 a.m.  There will be pancakes, freshly made sausage, and “REAL” homemade maple syrup.  Funds raised will go toward a variety of mission projects, both local and abroad.  Donations will be accepted at the door.  Extra maple syrup will also be sold by the pint or quart (as available).  Everyone is welcome.
